-THE LAVENDER FRAGRANCE CONCEPT - MASCULINE Lavender represents a highly thoroughbred concept which by comparison with other concepts leaves less latitude for perfumistic interpretation. Like the pure citrus notes, lavender notes are characterized by a dominating freshness. Both are bona fide concepts, because they serve as the foundation for two further, more complex themes. Lavender, in combination with oakmoss and using a simpler formula, thus forms the "Fougere" concept, while citrus and oakmoss serve as the basis for the "Chypre" concept. Lavender fresh: This group categorizes products whose scent is more or less free of any other perfumistic complexes and which, instead, represent an almost pure lavender note. These are not so much perfumes as they are refreshing splashes, which enjoy equal popularity among both masculine and feminine users. Lavender-spicy: One of the things that characterizes the spicy-coniferous interpretations of the lavender concept is their piquant-herbaceous freshness.
