Guccio Gucci opened House of Gucci in 1906. At the beginning he was designing and selling leather bags for horse riders. Next step was creating luxury travel suitcases/bags. After his death in 1953, company was led by Guccio's family. They started existence of New Gucci by opening lots of stores in cities like: Paris, Beverly Hills, London and Tokyo. In early eighties Gucci Co had a huge crisis, but thanks to new director Tom Ford they climbed on the top again.
