Estee Lauder History: Lauder career was like "american dream". Esther Mentzer was working as bautician in beauty parlour. Her uncle, dermatologist, has taught she how to make skin creams. With his help she elaborated four different products to skin care. In result ,in 1946, she has decided open a cosmetic concern. She called it Estee Lauder. Two years ago, Lauder started provide to exclusive department store Saks in New York. There made their first marketing innovation- to each sold cream she put on ,like a bonus, cosmetic to wash. In department store like Saks it was new pratice, so Estee Lauder became famous. Her cosmetic company still couldn’t rival with other americans companies, for example: Revlon, Helena Rubinstein, Elizabeth Arden. These companies had perfumes in their offert, so Lauder wanted also make own fragrance. Perfumes still were very expensive and luxurious. Only few women could afford it. Fragrance came from France of course. It was also one more serious problem. Parfums was treated like something romantic from man. Women hardy ever bought fragrances for herself. So Lauder made everything all what she could do to change this regulation- in 1953 she invented "YOUTH DEW". "YOUTH DEW" was a typical oriental’ s aroma, first like bath oil, later also like perfume. "YOUTH DEW" was a hit After year Estee Lauder company earns 50 000$. Women used to whole bottles of "YOUTH DEW" bath. Cause of her success was also that their fragrances wasn’t seal. Customers could test aroma and decided to buy it. Estee Lauder believed that her marketing’s practice help women to gain more independent and self-confidence. Since this moment all women’ life have changed. Estee Lauder made revolution- shaked morality society of USA.
