The House of Creed is a Paris-based fragrance house that was first established in London. It has been in existence since 1760. It is privately owned and is usually passed from father to son. Olivier Creed currently runs the firm, a sixth generation descendant of the perfumers of house of Creed. He is considered to be a master perfumer. He has created an extraordinary number of new fragrances for the house. Creed Perfumes have enjoyed a royal following since it was first established. It received a royal warrant in 1781 from King George III who commissioned the famous Royal English Leather scent. After that, a number of royal houses commissioned fragrances from Creed Perfumes. Fleurs de Bulgarie was created for Queen Victoria. Jasmin Imperatrice Eugenie was created for Empress Eugenie. As soon as Hollywood began being perceived as the new royalty, Creed Perfumes began to gain recognition from famous actors and actresses. Marlene Dietrich commissioned a fragrance called Angelique Encens by Creed Perfumes. Jasmal was made for Natalie Wood. Fleurs De The Rose Bulgare was made for Ava Gardner. Men’s fragrances include Vetiver, worn by John F. Kennedy and Green Tweed, worn by George Clooney and Clint Eastwood. Creed Perfumes offers a long line of perfume products in various formats. Their newest creation is called Virgin Island Water. It is a unisex fragrance that reminds one of a tropical breeze near Ginger Island. It was created to celebrate a sailing voyage near the Virgin Islands taken by Olivier Creed and his son. It has some coconut and citrus smells with a base note of sugar cane, white rum, and musk. Some of the proceeds for the sales of Virgin Island Water are going to charities that help to protect the world’s oceans.
