MAX AZRIA – DESIGNER HISTORY

Born in Tunisia in 1948, Max Azria eventually found himself studying acting in Paris when he was only 13 years old. In 1970, Max started designing women’s clothing in Paris, which he continued to do for the next 11 years. Maz Azria moved to the United States in 1981 where he opened his first U.S. store called Jess. It was through Jess that the designer sold French clothing that was considered ultra trendy and hip.

In 1989 Max Azria launched BCBG, which stands for Bon Chic Bon Genre (good style, good attitude). Headquartered in Beverly Hills, it wasn’t long before his sophisticated styles caught the attention of Hollywood’s most influential women. The BCBG line eventually expanded to include cosmetics, accessories, shoes, handbags and fragrances, making it a lifestyle brand that combined the freedom of the American spirit with the modern sophistication of European style.

Over the years, Max Azria designs have been featured on numerous television programs like Seinfeld, Ally McBeal, Friends and others, while also drawing the attention of many celebrity customers like Madonna, Uma Thurman and others.

In 1999 BCBG bought out the Herve Leger designer house and its flagship store in Paris and currently operates 65 boutiques in the U.S., Paris and Asia.

If you're having trouble with finding the perfect shade of foundation, try blending different varieties of foundations. Matte with dewy, warm with cool, and mix colors until you get the perfect foundation for you. Then write the mixture down on an index card so you won't soon forget!
