Etienne Aigner was born in Hungary in 1904. The Etienne Aigner name first gained recognition and popularity for its collection of leather goods which premiered in New York in 1950. Etienne Aigner designs all incorporate a horseshow logo which has become infamous with high quality goods, and the Bordeaux red livery. The line quickly expanded beyond leather goods into fashion accessories including scarves, neckties, umbrellas, costume jewelry and sterling pieces. Etienne Aigner also licenses the name for manufacturer's of women's and men's clothing, cosmetics, eyeglasses and watches.
