In 1987 the JOOP! perfume collection was launched and yet another Wolfgang Joop original achieved instant stardom. German fashion designer, Wolfgang Joop is the creator of a line of fashion and cosmetics that began with a fur collection in 1978. His first official women's collection was launched in 1982, quickly followed by a men's line in 1985. In 1987, along with JOOP! perfume, Joop added shoes, jewelry and eyeglasses to his popular collection.
In 1998, Wolfgang sold most of the shares of his company and in 2001, sold the remaining shares. Since that time Joop has been pursuing other endeavors, leaving behind a brand of clothing that will forever remembered for its innovation and quality.
