Inspired by the smell of toasted marshmallows, M by Mariah Carey is a sweet fragrance through and through. To offset its sugary sweetness, perfumers Carlos Benaim and Loc Dong blended in notes of sea breeze accord and citrus. At the heart of M is gardenia and Tahitian Tiare. The drydown switches gears a bit from the sweetness of the marshmallow to an amber, patchouli, incense base. The base notes give M its sexiness, inspired by the pop star herself.
